Data Processing Information

This page explains how we handle customer content and how business customers can request a data processing agreement.

Effective Date: March 20, 2026

1. Business Customer Scope

eLearning Translator is intended for business customers only. It is not offered to consumers.

2. Data Protection Roles

For account creation, billing, tax handling, security, website operations, analytics, diagnostics, and direct communications, we generally act as controller.

For customer files and other customer content containing personal data that a business customer uploads for translation or support-related troubleshooting, the relevant business customer generally acts as controller and Skillsail GmbH acts as processor or service provider, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. How We Process Customer Content

We process customer content to provide the requested translation service, store and deliver files, maintain security, and investigate support or bug reports that you ask us to review.

We do not use customer content to train general-purpose AI or machine-learning models or to improve our service by default. If a customer wants us to review files for troubleshooting or agrees to a different use in writing, we may process the relevant content for that agreed purpose.

4. Subprocessors

We rely on carefully selected service providers for infrastructure, authentication, storage, monitoring, communications, payments, and translation. Our current primary providers are listed in our Privacy Policy and may change over time as our infrastructure evolves.

5. Security, Retention, and Assistance

We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service, assist with reasonable privacy and security requests related to our role, and delete or return personal data in accordance with our contract, customer instructions, and legal retention obligations.

6. Requesting a DPA

If your organization requires an executed data processing agreement, please contact us at hello@skillsail.com. We can provide a separate DPA or incorporate data processing terms into your commercial agreement.
